Le Dernier Éclat
The last light of a diamond, held in water.
Request a bottleI · The stone
Older than the first forests.
A natural diamond is carbon, pressed into crystal some hundred and fifty kilometres beneath the surface of the earth. Most formed between one and three and a half billion years ago.
Since then, its carbon has not moved.
II · The last light
Its brightest moment is its last.
Given enough heat, a diamond begins to glow. It burns white, and then it is gone. What remains is the gas it has become.
In Paris, in 1772, Antoine Lavoisier watched a diamond vanish and showed that it had turned into the same gas we breathe out.
We keep it.
III · The water
Chemically, it is sparkling water. Historically, it was a diamond.
We dissolve the carbon dioxide of one natural, certified diamond in natural mineral water.
We make no promises about its taste, and none about your health. Its value lies elsewhere.
From €250,000The full price is given on request.
IV · The bottle
One diamond. One bottle.
- iEngraved with the details of its diamond and the date it was made.
- iiDelivered in a case, together with the certificate of its diamond.
- iiiPlaced in your hands by one of our representatives.
V · Eight
Eight bottles a year.
A rough diamond most often grows as an octahedron, a crystal with eight faces. We make no more than eight bottles in a year.
Each diamond is chosen for one bottle alone, once that bottle has been ordered.
The making is not open to visitors. The process is ours alone.
